Our Grand Adventures

I am so glad I have my little person to keep me company when Quinn can't be at home.

I feel so lonely if Quinn is gone more than his regular 46 hours a week. Other than that time we typically spend every moment together. The only regular exceptions are an occasion run to the grocery store or chiropractor while one of us keeps Gavin at home. So when days like yesterday come along, where he was supposed to be off work- but went in for 4 hours of overtime first thing in the morning, then left at 4:30pm to help Rann finish out their bathroom and didn't get home 'til almost 10pm- I can't help just aching with gratitude that my GavinMeister is here to keep me from feeling all lonely.

This morning he woke up happy. Snuggled close to me to nurse and smiled up at me with sleepy eyes.

When he was more awake he spent 20 minutes standing at the piano hitting the few keys he could reach and singing with all his heart. It made me so glad.

House Hunt Update:

So we're back to the Battlefield house. The owners agreed to several thousand dollars worth of reconstruction work and we're set to close by July 15th. We're pretty excited. I can't wait to have that huge, beautiful yard to spend my afternoons with Gavin in. I'm planning on picking up packing supplies after we turn in our 30 day notice on July 1st. I am dreading packing, but looking forward to unpacking....

In the meantime, does anybody know if you can paint old, dark stone?

Starting to plan Gavin's birthday party. I've got a guest list, a cake idea and a list of gifts I'm hoping to get for him. I know we're still almost 2 months out, but what with moving and unpacking being the majority of what I'll be accomplishing until the first week of August, I figure I had better have a plan before then. I haven't really thought about decorations yet...not sure whether or not I'm even going to try to decorate. We'll see.

My back is sunburnt from taking a long walk in the evening in a sundress yesterday. It itches. A lot.

I've been working for the last 20 minutes, but I just got a "No Tasks Available" message and had to log out. This is becoming the Friday norm, and is VERY frustrating. I was planning on doubling my work on Fridays through the summer to make up for the lack of orchestra, but so far that has been a bust. Darn.

Front- I want to paint the dark rock more of a carthage stone color and trim the windows/shutters with blue.

Back Yard. Enough room for volleyball or a pool...

Floors are Vinyl Laminate-We want to replace them with hardwood sometime. Also going to change the color of the fireplace and eventually install a gas log. 

Kitchen is VERY small, but cute. No dishwasher... yet... 

More back yard. Don't know whether or not the swingset is staying put.
