Internet...at last...

I'm actually using the internet on a computer for the first time in several weeks. I've had access to messages and facebook highlights on Quinn's phone, but not a place where I could actually type.

At the moment I'm sitting at Rendezvous sipping a decaf coffee full of real cream and sugar, waiting for my husband to return. We're here so we can watch House. He loves House. I enjoy House. He misses out on House every week because he works evenings. So... we're here to watch it online, BUT, our earbuds don't work, so he's off to Walgreens to find a pair we can use.

Last week we had a chance to re-honeymoon. Quinn was feeling lousy on Monday so he called in sick and we actually had two days in a row without work! It was *such* a blessing. We had already spent Saturday and Sunday nights at the family cabin (we headed out there at 11 on Saturday night after he picked me up from spending the day helping Dayna out with her thrift shop) so we spent the afternoon there, then headed into town to play Halo with Tim, who had sprained his ankle and was stuck at home. Tuesday was lab, and class, and then we had Becca and her husband Nathan over for dinner. It was a wonderful wonderful time. Wednesday was back to the grind of normal life, but the three day break made it so much more doable.

This morning we made the drive out to MV to hear Keith Daniels speak. As always, he was a blessing. He took on the Wesleyan arminians vs. Calvinist debate and summed it up beautifully, quoting scripture after scripture that defended each point of view and stating what I have been raised to believe; that our Sovereign God completely encompasses all time, therefore knows all things, but has given us a free will to choose whether or wnot to come to Him in repentance and be born again as His sealed, protected, blood-bought child, forever held by the power of the blood. Amen.

Had wonderful fellowship after the service, ate a chili-and-chips lunch and headed home. The 4th gear on the car has been going out, so the trip home was a bit dodgy...but we made it in one piece. God is good like that...

Spent a couple hours at home while Quinn studied and I messed around in the kitchen, then headed out to watch Monsters vs. Aliens at B and N's house with Matt and the kiddos. Cookies, apple cider, ping pong, a fun movie, chips and 7-layer dip... it was good times. Becca is going to be 4 months pregnant on Tuesday, and doesn't hardly count as showing. She looks sooo beasutiful.

Lost 4th gear on the way home from there. Drove home in 3rd... wheee. Spent the drive recounting all the ties God has provided transportation when we've needed it. We're counting on that provision sometime in the near future...

Still waiting for Quinn...

This place smells like bacon. yes, it's weird for a coffee shop to smell like bacon.

Still job hunting. It's not a good idea to be an enexperienced kid in today's economy. Enough people are job hunting that nobody wants somebody who's gonna require full-scale training. *sigh*

Seriously sleepy here.

I wish I were home.

I'll talk to all ya'lls later. I'm going to go refill my decaf and pray for a mental caffeine high. (a real caffeine high would mean that i couldn't sleep any time before 4am, so I'll avoid that real thing.)

bubyes.
