Jesus has blessed us in a thousand ways and I can't even begin to describe my joy and gratefulness that I feel when I take a step back and look at all He has done.
We are currently busy- as always- but the current busy is more than just a go-and-do busy. Quinn has been putting 10-30 hours a week into building websites that we're hoping will become our main source of income within the next several years. But in order for him to do that he's had to cut most of his overtime, which has pinched the budget, so I've been trying to do more hours on my at-home job. We both are *very* happy with how our time is currently spent.
We've been able to eliminate almost all forms of media entertainment painlessly. Except music. We live on music. We still watch a couple movies a week, and try to keep up with NCIS on cbs.com, but we have no tv and have cancled our instantplay on Netflix because we weren't using it enough to justify the $10 a month that it was costing.
This alone has freed us up to do more things that we love- we take more walks, we read more books and I get to spend more time cooking/cross stitching/sewing than I have in years. Devotions have been more consistant and we've been regularly crossing books off of the list of 100 classics that we're working through with Tabbi.
It is a *VERY* satisfying, lovely way to live. We feel so blessed that God has given us so much time and so many opportunities, and we feel like its our responsibility to use every moment either growing together as a family or working hard to make a better future. Quinn's job meets our needs budgetwise and has a decent health insurance plan, and my little job creates room for extras like coffee dates and Christmas presents. That said, we want to do everything we can to create a more affluent financial situation in the future, because there are so many things that we want to do and give in our lifetime, but that living from pay-check to pay-check is not going to allow for.
So, that's where we are. Not a lot of events or excitement, but a very happy, consistant lifestyle that we thoroughly enjoy.
I'm so glad to be here, now, in this life.
Thanks for being interested in our little world! Your prayers and thoughts are such a blessing.

P.S. Gavin report: The child is now 14 months old and is into EVERYTHING. He strips bookshelves and empties every toy container he owns on a daily basis. He walks/runs everywhere and has a whole list of words that he refuses to say. He builds block towers and loves collecting all of his rubber blocks and putting them away in their bags. He eats endlessly and is a milkaholic. He's fully weaned now, but goes through at least two bottles of milk a day. He's super good at staying on his blanket for "blanket time" and sits through about 70% of each church service quietly. He smiles all the time, at everybody, but saves his contagious little laugh for special occasions. He's always excited about buckling into his stroller and knows hand motions for "night-night" and "please." He folds his hands and bows his head for prayer time, waves goodbye and claps his hands anytime anybody says "yay!" for any reason.
He's a beautiful boy.
He's our sunshine.
